It's where you show us who you are, what you're chasing, and why you're ready.

Here's how to make yours land.

Be Specific About Your Craft

General love for film doesn't move us. Show us the craft. Pick your track and tell us why it pulls you. What made you choose Sound over Editorial, or Archival over Producing? What have you already cut, mixed, or dug up? What do you want to learn next? A real specific beats enthusiasm every time.

Tell Us What Drives You

We want the thing underneath the ambition. Maybe it's the pacing of a scene that wouldn't leave you alone. Maybe it's a piece of archival footage that changed how you saw a whole story. Name the moment, the project, or the person that made you realize this is the work. One true detail tells us more than a paragraph about passion.

Show, Don’t Tell

Don't tell us you collaborate well. Tell us about the night the edit fell apart and how you and two other people put it back together. Don't write that you're passionate about editing. Describe the project that kept you up, and what you knew by the end that you didn't at the start. Ground every claim in something that happened.

You Don't Need to Have It Figured Out

This isn't a test you pass by already knowing everything. We're looking for potential, not a finished résumé. Be someone who wants to grow, takes a note without flinching, and shows up for a team. You don't need years of credits. You do need to be serious about the craft.

Research the Tracks Before You Choose

Read what each track actually involves before you choose. Editorial, Color, Sound, Producing, and Archival are different jobs with different days. Your application should draw a clear line between what you care about and the track you picked.

Use the Portfolio to Show Range and Intent

If your track takes a portfolio, treat it like a visual résumé. Pick samples that show range and show growth. It doesn't have to be perfect. It has to show where you're headed.

Authenticity Matters

Write like a person, not an applicant. We're trying to understand your story and where this fits in it. Skip the kind of polish that sands your voice off. The honest version is the one we remember.
